Uganda Day 4

We had a fairly short distance to drive today. We would travel from Buhoma to the Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth's Park which was maybe 2 hours. Along the route we had the top of the jeep up because there were a number of animals to see along the way.

We stayed at the Ishasha wilderness camp which was a real tent experience along a beautiful river.

in the camp there were a large number of Weaver Birds in the trees and biting red ants on the ground so although you wanted to look up, you had to constantly look down to avoid the ants.

later in the afternoon we went for a sundown safari with Habib. The area is noted for tree climbing lions. Although we didnt see any in the trees, we did see a number of lions including cubs.

When we came back from the safari and had  a really good dinner along the river. Later that night there was a lion romping roaring in the distance. You pretty much have to stay in your tent after sundown.
