Uganda Day 3

Once the gorillas were done, we had to drive about three hours to our next lodge: The Gorilla Resort in Buhoma.  Along the drive you notice everyone walks in Uganda and the kids love to run along side the Safari jeeps with white muzugus in them.

We arrived at our permanent tented lodging around 2pm. These tents had great views of the mountains where the gorillas live.   In fact we talked to a couple who said they saw the gorillas just a mile or so from where we were. (screw them)

During the drive to Buhoma, we stopped for Habib to get something to eat. The lodges we stay at pack a lunch for Leo and I but Habib prefers to eat elsewhere because he didn't consider sandwiches to be lunch.  While sitting in the restaurant with Habib, the waitress offered us a drink. Why I said yes I will never know. This small roadside restaurant wasn't exactly the cleanest place we visited. I drank the juice from a glass. yes yes I know, why would I drink from a glass!!!! Anyway later that night in our lodge I had a good case of food poisoning which was too bad because the food at The Gorillas Resort looked great. Spending a few hours on the bathroom floor cured everything and by the next morning I was more or less OK.
