Bhutan: Day 7

The next day in Paro (where we landed) we had a nice breakfast at the last hotel. The Zhiwa Ling Hotel. This was not a standard hotel so we had to pay extra but it was worth it. Heated bathroom floors are always worth it. They have a great restaurant too. They are a bit outside of town but that doesnt really matter in  Bhutan since you are really there for the scenery.

The room we had was about $170 a night which isn't bad for NYC but it is extravagant for Bhutan.

During the day we visited the 17 century Paro Dzong (Fortress) on saw a few more monks. Took their picture. had a few laughs.

On the drive back we found this cool looking temple but you had to walk over a rickety, half-baked bridge.

Not all of us decided it was worth the risk, considering you could see the rapids through holes in the bridge.
